Substitution

Replacing chromate-forming insulation with alkaline and alkaline-earth-metal-free materials.

We replace insulation that contains alkaline and alkaline-earth metals with high-temperature insulation that is free of them. No calcium means no calcium chromate. No sodium means no sodium chromate. The hazard is removed at source rather than managed indefinitely.
